For nature lovers, a visit to the Parco Naturale del Mincio would certainly be enjoyable; it is a nature reserve that covers a large area in the province of Mantua, along the Mincio river valley and Lake Garda.
The park covers 390 acres of green where there are also artistically lovely buildings such as the Santuary dedicated to St. Maria delle Grazie, the Bosco Fontana huntsman lodge and many villas built during the reign of the Gonzagas.
The park has a long bicycle path from Peschiera on the lake to Mantua; it is 40 km long and follows the Mincio river with parts here and there that are not paved.

For the more daring there are sailing schools and places to do kite-sailing and windsurfing in various towns on the lake, with instruction for all levels.

For a unique experience take the cable car up to Mt Baldo for breathtaking views of the Alps and hiking pleasure. It is located in Malcesine on the north end of the lake. At the top are various eating establishments and chairs for relaxing.
